Elmubas Petfoodgroup, company adhered to the Registry of Footprint, Compensation and CO2 Absorption Projects

Being conscious of the threat posed by climate change and the depletion of natural resources, at Elmubas Petfoodgroup we have set the company’s sustainability as a key point in our strategy.

As a first step in our environmental commitment, and with regard to greenhouse gas emissions, we have worked on identifying and measuring the points in our production process that could have an impact. To this end, we have calculated and registered our carbon footprint in scopes 1 and 2 with MITECO (Ministry for Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge).

We have taken 2020 as the base year and have registered our footprint for the years 2020, 2021 and 2022 as reflected in the labels below.

We have also set targets for decarbonisation, compensation and absorption of emissions that can lead us to become a NET ZERO company by 2050.

These are steps in our commitment to the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals). Without a doubt, the carbon footprint register is an important tool for our business decision making. As a company, our growth and the improvement of our environment go hand in hand.

The Registry of Footprint, Compensation and CO2 Absorption Projects is voluntary and records the efforts of companies, administrations and other organisations in the calculation, reduction and compensation of greenhouse gas emissions generated by their activity.
