Nerea Filgueira, our ESG (environment, social and corporate) manager, has participated as a speaker at the Fair of Good Practices in Circular Economy organised by ASLE and Sutargi. There she has been able to share, together with companies such as Irizar e-mobility and IPARLAT S.A., the challenges faced by Elmubas in terms of business and environmental sustainability.
In his speech, Filgueira highlighted the importance of creating alliances and joining forces with other teams that are already working on sustainability. For Elmubas, two of these key alliances are with the Basque Food Cluster and with Iraurgi Berritzen, the local development agency.
The collaboration with the Basque Food Cluster resulted in the joint creation of FOODS2ODS, a tool that helps companies in the food sector to integrate the Sustainable Development Goals.
With Iraurgi Berritzen we have collaborated in several circular economy projects. Their contribution is key, as they can provide first-hand knowledge of the local area.
Another of Elmubas’ initiatives towards a more circular economy is to provide personalised support to suppliers. We are working on a project to set up a supplier portal, through which we hope to offer them all our experience and help on sustainability.
These are exciting projects that represent a great challenge for our company, which we face with enthusiasm and commitment to improving our environment.
